In his final podcast series, Professor Dr. Abdul Salam Babji, a visiting professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), and an Honorary Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, argues why lab-grown meat or protein-based meat will continue to be a trend and appeal to a specific group of people. He urges USIM to take steps and collaborate with JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) to recognize the need for certifying such lab-grown meat.
